My Cats Like to Eat Flowers

This post is sponsored by the Bouqs and contains affiliate links. I received free flowers for review, but all opinions are entirely my own.

It’s true. While I love fresh flowers, I almost never bring them in the house, because my cats go crazy. They are sure to try to eat them or play with them EVERY time. I once bought flowers for my mother-in-law while they stayed with us, and sure enough, the moment the cats got into their room, they knocked them over. Crazy cats. It’s a good thing they’re cute.

So, when Adam from the Bouqs offered to send me some flowers to review, what was I to do?

The Bouqs

Well, I sent them to work of course – and what better day to have them arrive than my birthday?

Never heard of the Bouqs? Well, here’s the quick details:

  • Their flowers are grown in only two places: in Ecuador on the side of an active volcano, or on an eco-friendly farm in California
  • Their flowers are cut just 2-4 days before they’re in your hands, so they’re really fresh!
  • Ordering is fast, easy, and shipping is included! (those fees get me EVERY time when I’ve ordered from other places)
  • They offer concierge service so you never forget a birthday or anniversary again
  • They also have an app… and give you 20% off your first order if you use it. Awesome!

Now that you know what they’re about, let’s get to my flowers, shall we?

Bouqs Desperado

I had a hard time choosing, but ended up settling on the original size Desperado bouquet. They arrived to my office the morning of my birthday, and I was instantly impressed. The flowers were packaged beautifully and were all intact in their box. Once I finally scrounged up a vase at my office, I arranged them – and they make it really simple. Flower food is included, and the box instructs you how to snip the ends and everything. (Want to know a secret? The first time I received flowers that weren’t already arranged… they died. I didn’t know then that the stems needed to be cut!) So easy.

All week, people commented on my flowers on my desk, and I can’t blame them. They seemed to get more beautiful as the days went on. I took them home over the weekend, and now, at 8 days later, they’re still going strong. I really loved these and am excited to see just how long I’ll be able to enjoy them.

Bouqs Roses

Of course, my Bouqs are locked in the bathroom during the day so the cats don’t eat them, but that’s life.
