Fall Goals

It’s finally my favorite season of the year, and I’m so excited for sweaters, loving that football is back, and downing some homemade salted caramel mochas. (Sorry, I like them better than pumpkin.  Yes, I went there.)  I love the feeling of newness that comes with fall – I almost feel like there’s a reset button.  It probably comes from all those years starting school in the fall, but Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) is this coming weekend as well.  On that note, I wanted to set some goals for myself for the fall!

{ONE}

Lose 15 pounds by Thanksgiving.  Of course, I start with the hardest one.  I slacked a bit in my eating and exercise this summer, and I desperately want to get down to my goal weight.  15 pounds equates to about 5 pounds a month, which is totally doable.  Plus, we’re taking our family pictures on November 22, and I want to have an excuse to buy some new clothes for that!

Continue to blog a minimum of 3 times each week.  We have a crazy busy schedule these next few months, but I love that I’ve gotten in a routine and I want to stick to it.  It also helps my mood when I have the time to write.

{THREE}
Do something active on my lunch break every day.  Fortunately, with all the errands I’ve had to run lately, I’ve been doing really well with this.  There are two malls and a few shopping centers near my office, so even walking around window shopping helps.  I’ve been much closer to meeting my WW activity goal for the day when I do this.  Also, once I find my gym bag, I may start utilizing the gym in my office on lunch breaks – walking on a treadmill gives some activity and won’t make me need a shower afterward.  Every little bit helps!

{FOUR}
Clean/unpack for 15 minutes each day.  There are still boxes lying around from our move.  Our bathrooms REALLY need a deep cleaning.  Enough said.

{FIVE}
Celebrate my 30th birthday!  I’m less than two months from 30 now (October 22, if you’re curious), and I’m half scared, half excited for this milestone.  I feel like I’m in a good place in my life, and am excited to celebrate my first birthday with my little girl.
