Friday! {4.24.15}

How is it already the last Friday of April?? I feel like the winter dragged on and on, but this spring is racing by. We’ve got a busy weekend coming up, so let’s get right to my five.

ONE

I got my new glasses yesterday, and I love them. I ended up going with the ones that were initially my favorites (which so many of you liked too). It was so nice to give my eyes a break from my contacts – now that I have functional glasses again I may be doing that more often.

Last night Abbie completely shredded her pacifier with her teeth, so we made the decision to just drop it, cold turkey. If she’s chewing through them now, she’ll chew through any new ones, and I don’t need that choking hazard in my life. So, cold turkey it was. She was asking for it at bedtime and I had to keep telling her “broken” and “all gone.” It was so sad to hear her asking for it and not giving it to her. She had a little bit of trouble getting to sleep last night and was a little cranky this morning, but I’m hoping that will pass. Fingers crossed!

I went to the Just Between Friends consignment sale this morning for a blogger even and MAJORLY scored. Abbie is basically set for clothes for the whole summer, unless I decide to pick up a few more random things. I got some great deals (including an amazing amount of Gymboree), and the booster seat I was about to order from Amazon for half the price. I seriously love consignment sales.

FOUR

I am hoping to FINALLY get my post up about essential oils next week so I can tell you guys just how amazing these things are, but in the meantime, I have started a usage group on Facebook. I joined a similar one before I started my oily journey, and it was a huge help to see what people were using them for… and still is! You can join my group here and learn all about the amazing things Young Living can do!

FIVE

I’m getting to the point that meal planning has become really repetitive and boring. I used to participate in a link up over on Jessica’s blog that was great to see what others were eating, and I was thinking of starting up something like that again. Thoughts? Would you want to see what we eat for dinners?

Well, I’m off – have a fabulous weekend all!

  1. Those glasses look awesome!! I’m so in a rut for meal planning right now too. I think once it gets to be a little bit warmer here and I can bbq, then things might change lol.

    1. Thank you! I’m thinking I may at minimum start taking a photo of our meal plan for the week going forward so many people can chime in with ideas!
