KTMA: Tried & True Toys

Today’s linkup is all about toys!

Abbie’s definitely gotten more and more into toys as she’s gotten older, but she still loves to play with random things too(boxes, the remote, mommy’s phone….).  Here’s some of Abbie’s favorites!

Freddie the Firefly – Abbie loved this guy for a long time, and played with him from about 3 months until recently.  He’s got lots of different textures, plus a teether and a mirror.

Fisher Price Stacker – Abbie loves anything that makes music, and she recently learned how to stack and unstack the rings.

Wood Blocks – We lucked out and found these at a consignment sale.  I love them – there’s something so simple and classic about wood blocks.  These are made by Uncle Goose, but any would work.  I stack these for her and let her knock them down, and she likes to bang them together.

Xylophone – Another winner for my musical girl!  She loves the music…but she also loves to chew on the sticks.  Silly girl.

Activity Block (this isn’t hers, but it’s similar) – This was a hand-me-down from a friend, and she loves it!  There’s all sorts of different puzzles and activities, plus a magnetic side with letter magnets for when she gets older.  I know we’ll get a lot of use out of this in the years to come.

Also linking up with Kristin for Baby Talk!

  1. That FP stacker is really cute. Aria loves musical things, I am going to have to look into that. I love activity cubes, so many different things on the sides. Fun for mom too.

  2. We love the star stacker at our house too! And Arden is jealous of Abbie’s activity cube…our community garage sale is coming up next month and I will be on the hunt for one! 🙂

  3. Yes, definitely! That’s the way to get one! We lucked out in getting it as a hand me down, and I’m so glad we did – it’ll keep her busy for a while!
