I don’t know about you guys, but I am SAD to see this weekend end. I think Abbie even felt it this morning – she’s usually really excited to go to daycare, but this morning we had a hard time getting her going. It was so amazing to spend three entire days with my little family.
Friday afternoon we went to the playground, naturally. In fact, I’m pretty sure we went every day this weekend – it’s seriously Abbie’s favorite place. If we go outside and don’t head in the direction of the playground, she pulls us toward it. Sometimes she’s too smart for her own good.
Friday night Chris and I rented a few movies and watched one each night of the weekend. First up was American Hustle…and neither of us liked it. I know, I know. It had all the Oscar buzz, blah blah blah. We both felt the acting was good, but the story itself stunk…we both thought it was boring and at the end of it, I was wondering what the point of the movie was. Maybe just so Jennifer Lawrence could be her awesome self? I’m assuming so, because she was the highlight of the movie for me.
That night Chris and I watched Grown Ups 2. It was another movie with very little plot…but this one was actually pretty funny. I mean, it’s an Adam Sandler movie – you know what you’re getting when you watch it! Plus, I love Kevin James.
Sunday morning we got to see my friend Amy and her son Jack, who is 7 months old…I’d forgotten how snuggly little babies are! He’s a cutie pie. We had a great time catching up and going to the playground.

That afternoon I made white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, just because, and we went on a little family walk across the street to the froyo place.
We celebrated Memorial Day by having our friends Matt and Erica and their kids over and heading to the pool. Of course, I neglected to take a ton of pictures…but I did grab a few of Abbie splashing around in the kiddie pool. We watching Saving Mr. Banks, and it was my favorite of the three movies we rented this weekend. It definitely made me appreciate Mary Poppins in a new way.
How was your weekend?

What a great weekend! I had an awesome weekend too. I wish we had another day!
Seriously. Or every weekend needs to be 3 days!
yay for pool time and those yummy cookies!!
It was fun, and I ate waaaay too many cookies!
I love Saving Mr. Banks! I bought it because Sam’s had it for $20. And totally random, but I think my in-laws have the same plates, haha.
My parents actually have the same plates too – they bought them literally a week after I did my wedding registry. Crazy.
