Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

On Mondays, we recap the weekend.  Doesn’t everyone?

This weekend was pretty much exactly what I needed.  I had tons of time with my little family and a great Mother’s Day.  What else could I want?

Saturday we did our typical routine – Weight Watchers (I went up .2, but it’s such a small amount I’m not really worried about it), a quick trip to Trader Joe’s for some fun new snacks (and Chris stopped me from buying cookie butter – I was SO tempted but we totally don’t need that in the house), and swim lessons – this time it was my turn.  My new swimsuit came in just in time, and I’m so much more comfortable now that I have one that fits right.  It’s a bra-sized tankini, and I love it.  I’m planning on sharing some tips for swimsuits for the well endowed later this week.

I’m also co-hosting A Beautiful Exchange‘s new “Beautiful Moments” sharefest today, so peek over when you get a moment to see what Beautiful Moment I loved this week (I’ll add the link once it’s up!), then share yours with the hashtag (#ABEbeautifulmoments).

The rest of Saturday was spent playing with our little bug and a delicious dinner of Apricot-Glazed Pork Tenderloin…totally have to get you guys that recipe soon!

Sunday morning Abbie slept in (7am!) and she and Chris insisted on giving me my mother’s day gift right away – this personalized notebook in green with Abbie’s picture and a note inside…perfect.  Chris then surprised me by suggesting we head out to Amphora for breakfast, and we had an awesome little family breakfast before coming home and heading to the playground.

After that, I got some alone time – my first pedicure of the year and Starbucks.  At this point, the day was only half over and pretty much perfect.

Color is Julep’s Laree, and it’s pretty much perfect.

Abbie continued to be a doll the rest of the day (which she made up for this morning when she was super-cranky), and Chris and I watched the season finale of Revenge at 10… OMG, craziness.  Anyone else watch Revenge?  I can’t wait to see what happens next season now!
