My Daughter is More Fashionable Than Me

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.

I LOVE baby clothes…although I suppose I should now be saying toddler clothes.  Either way, shopping for Abbie is always fun, and way more fun than shopping for my crazy post-baby body (but that’s a story for another day).  So when OshKosh offered me a chance to check out their spring line, I jumped on it.

When I think of OshKosh, the first thing I think of is overalls.  My mom and I have had numerous discussions about them…basically ending with her loving them and me not sure about them.  This shopping trip not only changed my mind about overalls, but it also showed me just how many cute pieces OshKosh has for baby girls!

The nearest OshKosh store to me is in Leesburg, about a 30 minute drive from me (find yours here).  I headed out and was greeted with lovelies like this when I walked in.

The store was really well organized and easy to navigate, with the bigger kids’ stuff up front, and the smaller sizes in the back.  I headed to baby girls clothes section in the back of the store to shop for Abbie…and knew this trip would be harder than I thought.  I wanted to buy EVERYTHING.  Instead, I took my time going through the store, settling on lots of fun things:

A navy jumper with whales embroidered on it, coral short overalls, and three onesies to go underneath.  Consider me converted to overalls if they’re all this cute.

An adorable jean skirt and gray polka-dot shirt (and I almost bought the pink one just like it!) and this pretty printed dress that I can’t wait to see Abbie twirl around in.

And at the end, three onesies, a shirt, and a blue skirt with a bow.

Thankfully, I had a $100 gift card to spend – but if you know me, you know I went slightly overboard since I still couldn’t resist things.  I still did really well, spending a total of $126.71 for four complete outfits, with extra shirts and onesies to spare.  Abbie’s going to be much better dressed than her mama this spring!

In addition to my gift card, I used the 20% off coupon OshKosh gave me, which I’m passing on to you!

This coupon really helped me stretch my money…and you know I love that.  Plus, if you’re subscribed to their email list, you get coupons on a regular basis, and shopping in the store always results in a coupon for the following month!  Coupons are probably one of my favorite things about shopping.

I love that I was able to spoil Abbie with some fun things from OshKosh – everything I bought seems really well made, and I’m confident that not only will Abbie get a lot of use out of them, they’ll also make great hand-me-downs for more of my kids or for friends’ kids someday.  After all, when I go to used clothing sales, the OshKosh items are always in great shape and get snatched up fast!

Now the question is, what fun things are you going to buy with your coupon?  I’d love to see!

  1. I’m uber jealous that you got to go shopping for free!!! Too fun. Yeah, my daughter dresses WAY better than I do. Even when we’re staying home and not even going out, I dress her up. Oh, the joys of having a girl! I hope (if I have a boy) I’ll dress him up, too.

  2. Seems to be the case all around! I am dreading the day she starts forming her own opinions about her clothes – hopefully she likes the same things I do!
