Happy Friday! Let’s get to it, shall we?
ONE
I have to start with a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby sister, who isn’t such a baby anymore – today’s her 18th birthday!
I can’t really believe this girl is 18 – it’s so crazy to me, since I remember the day she was born. I insisted my mom call my school once she was here so I would be told in class. I remember sitting in class and being pulled out so one of the school’s admin could tell me my newest sister had arrived – it was pretty cool to be pulled into the hall for such a cool reason!
TWO
We went to the National Zoo yesterday for a work event. You’ll probably think I’m crazy for saying this… but I kind of hate the zoo. I know, I know. But I don’t really like smelling animal poop – I deal with enough toddler poop at home. Plus the animals are just kind of stuck in exhibits and don’t really do much. I don’t know – it just lost it’s appeal for me a long time ago. Since we were there, I went ahead and bought Abbie a stuffed panda… and she wanted nothing to do with it. Maybe she doesn’t like the zoo either?
THREE
Tomorrow we’re headed to the Manassas Fall Jubilee in the morning! This is one of those hometown events I hope we can hit every year. There’s going to be all sorts of vendors and fall fun, and fingers crossed Abbie behaves! We may even pick up a pumpkin or two there since we may not make it to the pumpkin patch this year.
FOUR
Yom Kippur starts tonight. If you’re observing, have an easy fast.
FIVE
I squeeeled when I saw this amazing news this morning – my friend Courtney has some amazing news! (She doesn’t even know I’m writing this, so I promise it isn’t sponsored.) I’m so excited for her!
Have a great weekend you guys!

I love the zoo but my hubby and two of my kids don’t so I always use the zoo as a mommy-son date while everyone stays home. The jubilee sounds fun. We have a combined pumpkin patch/festival thing here in Miami once a year. We are going. Hope you have a fab weekend!
stopping by from 5 on Friday!
People always think I’m crazy when I say I hate the zoo, but glad to hear I’m not alone! For us, it’ll totally be an aunt/uncle thing for Abbie if she wants to go!
I squealed too!!! More like, yelled but hey – whatevs! SO happy for them. Have a wonderful weekend!
I know, it’s SO exciting!
