Stitch Fix #3

It’s time for my most recent Stitch Fix! I had put them on hold for a while during our house hunt, but I’m so glad I started getting it again. Hopefully one of these days I’ll get home while it’s still light out to take photos outside!

Stitch Fix 3

41HAWTHORN Selfridge Cowl Neck Long Sleeve Top

41HAWTHORN Selfridge Cowl Neck Long Sleeve Top

Honestly, the moment I saw this in the box, I knew I wasn’t going to like it.  Most cowl necks just make my bust look bigger than it is. I did like the color a lot though, and the fabric was really soft. Verdict: Sent Back

SKIES ARE BLUE  Lenor Button-Down Pintuck Detail Tank

SKIES ARE BLUE Lenor Button-Down Pintuck Detail Tank

I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but I NEVER wear button downs because they never seem to fit me right.  I was so surprised by how much I love this! I loved the color of this, and it was comfortable with no weird gaps down the buttons or by the arms. I can see myself layering it through the fall and winter, and maybe even next spring. Verdict: Kept

LOVEAPPELLA Jessie Draped Front Terry Knit Cardigan

LOVEAPPELLA Jessie Draped Front Terry Knit Cardigan

I’m finally getting into cardigans, and I was excited to see this in my box. The fabric is a terry knit, and it was really warm – a bit too warm for me.  I like that it was open in the front, but felt the fit was off – the sleeves were a bit too snug on my forearms (surprisingly, not at the top where they usually are). I also thought it was a bit too warm – I prefer lighter weight clothes for layering. Verdict: Sent Back
KENSIE JEANS Johnny Skinny Jeans
KENSIE JEANS Johnny Skinny Jeans
These jeans look familiar? They’re the same ones I got in my first fix. I sent them back in the first one since they weren’t really weather-appropriate at the time, and asked for them this time – and they’re perfect.  I can’t wait to wear them with my new boots, and get this – I fit in a size smaller than last time. They’re a little snug, but I’m totally okay with that. Love these! Verdict: Kept

41HAWTHORN  Emilia Plaid Print Pencil Skirt

41HAWTHORN Emilia Plaid Print Pencil Skirt

I wasn’t really a fan of this skirt. I don’t wear a ton of skirts in the fall and winter, so I wasn’t sure it would get worn.  The print was a little strange and I felt the skirt didn’t fit quite right. I couldn’t really see myself wearing this, and I also didn’t have much in my closet that went with it.  Verdict: Sent Back
Overall, I was happy with this fix. I was disappointed with my last fix, but this one was much better. Hopefully as I keep going they’ll get more of an idea on what works on me and what I like.  I know there’s been some backlash on the pricing of some items, but for me, the convenience is totally worth it – plus I get things I’d never try otherwise!

  1. I’ve been tempted so many times to try this but I’ll be honest – most friends and bloggers I know who do this end up sending back way more than they keep so I dunno…I seem to think it may be a waste of time and money? I’ll give it some thought.

I do like those jeans tho – get it girl!

    1. I was the same way at first. I’ve heard that Stitch Fix’s goal is for you to keep 2 pieces per box, but my goal is one (so I don’t lose my styling fee). I’ve found that so far, I’ve always had at least one item I want to keep, so I’ve been happy with that. I like that it makes me try things I normally wouldn’t, and plus going shopping with Abbie is pretty much impossible!
