Happy Friday! I have to say, I haven’t done one of these posts in a few weeks and I’ve missed it! So much going on lately, and I find it’s a great way to wrap up what’s on my mind. Shall we?
Some of you may have seen this photo on my instagram on Wednesday. Abbie had to have surgery to clear a clogged tear duct she’s had a problem with since birth. The procedure was fast and went really well, and Abbie was such a trooper – I’m really proud of the way she handled it all.
I’m still on a bit of a high from the Hokie win over Ohio State on Saturday. I STILL can’t believe we won. Seriously – our unranked Hokies beat #8 Ohio State. I’m so incredibly proud of my school and team – it was the best I’ve seen us play in years. Beamerball is back! We’re now ranked 17th…and I’m pretty excited about the rest of the season. Go Hokies!
Chris and I have both been horrible about tracking our food and getting in exercise lately. The move and this adjustment to a whole new routine has thrown us for a loop, and we’re both ready to get back on track. We’ll be hitting up our new Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow morning, then exploring the farmer’s market in our new town! We’re pretty excited about the farmer’s market – yes, even Chris.
Speaking of adjustments, it’s been quite and adjustment getting used to a whole new commute. If you know anything about DC, you know the traffic in this area is some of the worst in the country. We both work in Virginia, but we’ve now moved farther away from both our jobs, and let’s just say traffic is not fun. Thankfully, Abbie’s been pretty good on the drives and hasn’t been too upset about the increased time in the car (then again, she may just like listening to Disney Junior soundtracks in my car).
Well, today I don’t have a five – how about that? Now go out and have a great weekend!
