I got my most recent Stitch Fix this past Friday and I’m so excited to share it with you guys! My love for this service just grows and grows as time goes on.
In this fix, I asked my stylist, Aileen, for some spring tops that would be easy to layer now but be versatile later. Here’s what I got! (P.S. Don’t mind my messy house. Totally forgot to take pictures until Monday night!)
Item 1 – Skies are Blue Shiloh Tonal Dot Print Sleeveless Blouse – XL – $58.00
I loved this one the instant I took it out of the box. Favorite color? Check. Polka dots? Check. Gorgeous and unexpected scalloped hem? Check. I love everything about this one and can see myself wearing this all the time! Verdict: Kept.
Item 2 – 41 Hawthorn Teresa Colorblocked Sleeveless Blouse – XL – $48.00
I suppose I should probably update my notes to my stylist and let her know I’ll never wear orange and blue together. Just not okay as a Hokie! That said, the colorblocking on this just falls in the absolute most unfortunate place it can on me – right below my bust. It looks funny because of that. I did like the way the hem fell in a curve, and I loved the zipper detail on the back. Verdict: Sent Back.
Item 3 – Pixley Ivy Mini Tulip Print Blouse – XL – $68.00
I had actually pinned this piece and was excited to see it in my fix. I loved the print on this and the color, but it just didn’t fit me quite right. It fit well over my bust, but was entirely too big in the stomach area, making me look bigger there than I am – not soemthing anyone wants. I debated trying to make this work for the entire three days before ultimately deciding to send it back. I think this is a case where the XL was too big, but the L would have been too small. Verdict: Sent Back.
Item 4 – Papermoon Wynn Ikat Print Front Pocket Blouse – XL – $48.00
You guys, this blouse runs an entire size small. I got this on, but just barely, and there was no way a photo was happening in this shirt. It is really cute – I did like the color and pattern, but there’s no way it would have worked for me. I did like that it came with a black camisole to wear underneath, although that was really small too – I think they’re one size fits (not) all. Verdict: Sent Back.
Item 5 – Papermoon Abbi Skirt – XL – $58.00
This was also a full size too small for me, so I think it’s the entire brand of Papermoon that runs small. I could get it on but not zip it, so back it went. It was also a little bit shorter than I typically go. I did love the fabric though and if this came any bigger I may have asked for the next size up. It has a really subtle chevron pattern, which gives it some dimension and texture without being overpowering. If this had fit right, I think I definitely would have kept it. Verdict: Sent Back.
Despite the fit issues, I did really like this fix. I feel like I got a good variety of items, and as long as I keep one piece, I consider it a win.

I think if you love one piece per box that’s a win! My box is coming today and I’m super excited 🙂
Love the top you kept. The color is fabulous.
Me too! Now if only it would warm up so I could wear it!
I love the hem on that first top!
I know, so unique, right?
