We had a crazy busy weekend around here, but it started out with a bang – our anniversary date! When I found out months ago that Lady Antebellum was coming through the area this month, I got really excited and basically convinced Chris it would be our anniversary date. We even splurged and got tickets in the pit…and it was amazing. I’m getting floor or pit tickets for the rest of my life. If you’ve never been in the pit at a concert…it needs to be on your bucket list.
The concert was at the Patriot Center at GMU (Chris’ alma mater), so it was a quick trip (only about 30 minutes away). Even though we could’ve parked for free, we chose to park on the other side of campus and pay for parking, which paid off in the end since we weren’t fighting traffic.

Now that I’ve rambled on, I wanted to share photos and videos from the concert…it was an amazing show (this was the third time I’ve seen them, and it was the best yet). They’re all iPhone pictures since I didn’t want to risk bringing my DSLR.
First up was Kacey Musgraves. I like her music, but she was not as high energy as I expected. Her music is great though – plus, I found out she wrote “Mama’s Broken Heart,” which is a favorite of mine.
Next was Kip Moore. Chris said he was probably there to appeal to the guys, and that’s probably true. He did keep telling us to “take off our corporate hats,” which was pretty funny. Chris’ favorite song of his is “Hey Pretty Girl” and I caught a bit of it on video. (The video is sideways somehow, or I’d share it!)
Finally, it was time for Lady Antebellum, and I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I ADORE them, and I danced and sang the entire time…to the point I had no voice the next morning. Plus, I got to touch Dave and Hilary’s hands….it was pretty incredible.
If you ever get a chance, GO SEE THEM.
And make sure you bring me along.
