As a working mom, my days are busy. We are on the go from the moment we wake up in the morning until the moment Abbie goes to bed at night, and sometimes longer. I can’t remember the last time I sat down to watch a show at the time it’s on, unless it was one of Abbie’s favorite shows. I swear, one day we’ll get the TV back from her… although I don’t think it’ll be soon.
NBC has always had some of my favorite shows – you guys know I was obsessed with Parenthood. I wish NBC TV anywhere had been around when it was on! Now it’s giving me a chance to try all the new series NBC has on.
Plus, it’s easy. I can pull up NBC TV anywhere on my computer while I’m getting ready for bed (usually folding laundry at the same time) and catch a new show whenever I have a moment. I recently started watching Heroes Reborn and am loving it – I watched the original Heroes for a few years when it was on, so I’m loving coming back to that show. I also love the Voice, so I’ve been catching up on that since I hadn’t had a chance to catch it all season.
So if you need me tonight… I’ll be cuddled up in bed catching up. Once I’m done with Heroes Reborn and The Voice, I’ll be choosing between Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago PD, and The Blacklist for my next series.
Anyone else depend on streaming for finding new shows? Have you tried NBC’s TV Anywhere?

I’ve heard great things about Parenthood, but have yet to jump on board with Netflix, so I can’t really watch it. We usually DVR things and watch after the kids go to bed. Course right now since we don’t have a cable box there is none of that. I am way behind in some of my favorite shows.
Parenthood is one of the best shows of all time – no doubt! The ONLY show we watch live is Walking Dead on Sunday nights, otherwise everything is on the DVR. It’s so nice having them there ready when you have time to unwind. Plus – I can’t stand commercials. 🙂
I haven’t tried NBC Anywhere but I love NBC! I will have to try this. Don’t forget to DVR the live Adele special tonight!
I just started the West Wing a few months ago and I’m totally hooked! Nevermind that it’s completely outdated (I’m 3 seasons in and they still don’t have smart phones!), it’s SO good! Total feel-good show. I also love Friday Night Lights and Scandal, both of which I binge watched during maternity leave last summer.
