I wanted to try something new today, so I thought I’d link up to the “Finish This” linkup with Lisa (Coastlined), Jen (The Arizona Russums), Becky (The Java Mama) and Nicole (Three 31). The prompts are usually pretty interesting and offer some insight into people’s lives and personalities. Here we go!
I add spice to my life by… trying new things. Usually it’s new foods and ingredients – nothing too major. I’m really a creature of habit and don’t really crave changing things up too often. In fact, change usually makes me nervous and worry. relaxing about change is something I’m constantly working on.
Bacon is… amazing. I add it to so many things and buy it in bulk at Costco. It’s perfect in salad, on sandwiches, in breakfast…so so many uses. It’s a good think I don’t keep Kosher – I wouldn’t be able to!
The perfect meal… has bacon, avocado, and cheese. I realize this could be a lot of things, but that’s kind of the point. It would also include dessert…because why not? Life is short and I want to eat sweets! I love almost all kinds, except coconut. I hate coconut.

My favorite food to grill is… Well, Chris does the actual grilling, but I love grilling simple things – marinated chicken, corn on the cob, cut up veggies, potatoes… it’s on my list to try grilling fruit, but we just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
I beat the heat by… Staying inside most of the time. I’m a big fan of central air conditioning, and it baffles me that there are people who live without it! The humidity in Virginia makes it always seem hotter than it is, and I like to be comfortable. We also love the pool on a hot day, and I make sure to do any outdoor exercise in the evenings once things have cooled down.

I am with you re the heat! My husband says.. come outside and sweat.. it helps you lose weight… Um no thanks.
