I posted about this the other day, but I wanted to mention it again. Our friends Matt and Alyssa lost their baby boy, Micah, on Wednesday to Trisomy 18. They are kind, brave people, and I would so appreciate your thoughts and prayers for them. In addition, a fundraising site has been set up to help them with the medical costs associated with Micah’s birth and death. Please consider donating if you’re able – the site is here.
This weekend is my bestie Nichole’s baby shower, and I’m so excited for her. I’ll be spending today and tomorrow making the cake, so here’s hoping it lives up to my sketches! No peeks since I don’t want her to see, but I’m planning on incorporating her nursery colors – pink and gray. I love that we’re getting to celebrate her baby girl this weekend, especially after hearing of Micah’s passing. I’m glad there’s something to celebrate despite the sadness.
I’ve been struggling with what to read lately. I picked up Have No Shame by Melissa Foster and it’s interesting so far…but I’m only about four chapters in. Here’s hoping its good! Any book recommendations from you guys?
I really feel like I’m off to a good start with my fitness goals for May. I tracked everything yesterday, worked out, and hit my steps. The sweets thing is a little harder, but I’m working on it…once the peeps I already opened are gone it should be a bit easier!
If you didn’t catch it yesterday, I’m running an ad sale – use code MAYFIT for 50% off all ads! Plus, my ads run for 6 weeks rather than a month, so you get more for your money!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
