One of my absolute favorite things to eat is Mexican food. Tacos are by far my favorite, so when I found a taco recipe with the perfect blend of seasonings, I started using that blend on everything. I use it as a dry rub on chicken for fajitas. I add it to scrambled eggs and omelettes. I’ve put it on fish and in salads. I love the flavors, and I love that I don’t have to have tacos to get them. Since it’s one of my favorite blends, I thought I’d share it with you!
Now, this recipe is sized to fit my jar and my taste (I don’t like a ton of spiciness), but it’s very adaptable – you can half it, double it, etc. Just remember that 1 teaspoon equals 3 tablespoons and do the math from there.
Mexican Seasoning
2015-10-08 09:48:30
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp Ground Cumin
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Ground Coriander
- 9 Envelopes Sazon Seasoning (this is in the global section, not the spice aisle of the store)
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Measure everything into the jar of your choice. Mix well and use on anything you want! Obviously, you can add more spice to this, or additional ones - garlic or onion powder, for example. I prefer to use fresh onions and garlic generally, so I didn't add them here.
