Weekend!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  We had a busy one!  Saturday morning we headed to the grocery store early, then got ready to head to Amy’s baby shower celebrating Abbie’s new friend Jack, who’s due next month!

After that, I dropped Abbie off with Chris at home and headed to the Just Between Friends consignment sale…and did pretty well!  I got Abbie quite a few “new” things, including a Dora the Explorer jacket and a peacoat for this winter!

We were supposed to go to my sister’s band performance that evening, but it was raining pretty hard and I didn’t want to take Abbie in it, so we’ll have to make another performance.  One of Chris’ friends had tickets to the Nationals game, so he headed out to that for a while…but came home early when it got rained out.

We spent Sunday on a Target run, watching the Redskins (let’s not talk about the outcome), and watching a little of the daytime Emmys.  I made a roasted chicken for dinner so we’d have the leftover for the week – I love doing that on the weekend since it’s so helpful to have the chicken all week.

How was your weekend?

  1. Gotta love the consignment sales!!!! They’re THE BEST! And that squinty face in the first picture make me giggle and smile right as I opened this post. So priceless and adorable!
